Access to quality education remains a challenge in many communities, not simply due to a lack of resources but also because of gaps in infrastructure, access, and sustained support. Addressing this requires strong partnerships—bringing together committed donors, local authorities, institutional partners, and a shared, purpose-driven team working toward a common vision for impact.
Through Project Ghana, MOM Foundation extended its outreach to the Volta Region, implementing a school donation initiative in Sogakope under its Donate for Impact Programme (DIP).
The outreach spanned multiple schools across the Sogakope area, reaching primary and junior high institutions in communities such as Fieve-Dugame, Fieve-Sogakofe, Yorkutikpo, Dendo, Atsieve, Avorvi, Agorkpo, Avergorme, and surrounding areas. In preparation for the visit, donated items—including educational materials, classroom furniture, and ICT equipment—were carefully sorted, organised, and packaged to ensure both quality and relevance to identified needs.

On arrival, the MOM Foundation team engaged with the Sogakope Education Directorate. The interaction provided an opportunity to align on the distribution process and to gain further insight into the area's educational landscape. The Directorate played a key role in coordinating the outreach, facilitating access to schools, and ensuring that the intervention reached its intended beneficiaries effectively. The quality and relevance of the donated books were specifically commended, reinforcing the importance of thoughtful, needs-based support.
Across the various locations, there was an unmistakable sense of excitement, particularly as the schools received materials that would directly support their learning. For many, these were not just supplies but tools that made the classroom experience more accessible and engaging.

This initiative was made possible through the collective support of donor institutions and partners, including Archbishop Beck Catholic College, Archbishop Blanch School, Bellerive FCJ Catholic College, Blue Coat School, Broadgreen International School, Calderstones School, and several others across Liverpool. Their contributions enabled the delivery of essential learning materials across a wide network of schools, underscoring the value of collaboration in driving meaningful impact.
Through Project Ghana’s Donate for Impact Programme, MOM Foundation continues to prioritise interventions that are responsive, structured, and scalable. The experience in Sogakope offers both insight and direction—highlighting the importance of sustained engagement while informing future outreach across other regions.
